Ali Chilmeran (DEM- University of Toronto)
Successfully completed a 7-week internship program in partnership with Venture for Canada (VFC) at Hallmark Laboratories, where he contributed to our marketing initiatives. His responsibilities included blog writing, content creation, social media management, and online engagement strategies. During his tenure, Ali demonstrated creativity, consistency, and a keen understanding of digital marketing. His efforts helped enhance our online presence and outreach and he learnt new marketing strategies.
Japnoor Khatra (BBA -Simon Fraser University)
Successfully completed a 7-week internship program in partnership with Venture for Canada (VFC) at Hallmark Laboratories, where she played an active role in our marketing initiatives. Her responsibilities included blog writing, social media management, and content promotion, helping to enhance our online presence. Throughout her internship, Japnoor demonstrated strong communication skills, creativity, and adaptability in implementing new marketing strategies.
Sebastian Navarrro (BS Chemistry-University of Calgary, AB)
Successfully completed an 8-week Internship Program at Hallmark Laboratories Inc. During the internship, he gained hands-on experience in the operation, calibration, and maintenance of a variety of advanced analytical instruments, including High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), UV-Visible Spectrophotometry (UV-Vis), and Gas Chromatography-Mass Selective Detection (GC-MSD).
He demonstrated the ability to independently perform instrument calibration, sample preparation, method execution, data acquisition, and preliminary data interpretation while adhering to laboratory quality and safety procedures. In addition, he actively participated in laboratory operations by organizing and managing laboratory inventory, maintaining equipment records, preparing reagents and standards, and assisting with routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instruments.
Throughout the internship, Sebastian displayed strong technical aptitude, professionalism, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. His contributions supported the efficient operation of the laboratory and the successful completion of analytical testing activities.
